Leading by 12 points in the second quarter, Estonia survived Lithuania’s comeback attempt in the second half to go up 2-0 in Group H, beating the Baltic neighbor 65-59 in Tallinn.

Janari Joesaar was one of the big heroes for Estonia, providing a team’s high of 18 points with 8/9 from the field

Baskonia‘s center Maik-Kalev Kotsar followed with a huge double-double of 11 points and 13 rebounds despite struggling at the line with 3/10.

On the Lithuanian losing side, the Zalgiris Kaunas duo of Edgaras Ulanovas and Tomas Dimsa did its best to come back to their country up 2-0 in the 2025 EuroBasket Qualifiers. The former had 16 points and 4 rebounds, the latter added 14 points in the defeat.

After beating North Macedonia to open this FIBA Window, Estonia can now celebrate with its fans in their capital. Lithuania, instead, is now 1-1 Group H, tied with the red-and-yellow national team. Losing both encounters, Poland is at the bottom and winless.
