22 players will compile the preliminary squad of the Czech Republic’s national team ahead of the EuroBasket.

Czech Republic head coach Ronen Ginzburg announced the players that will compile the preliminary squad ahead of the 2017 EuroBasket tournament.

Jan Vesely (Fenerbahce) and Tomas Satoransky (Washington Wizards) are the major superstars of the national team while the most notable absence is naturalized forward Blake Schilb who asked to take a break in order to spend time with his family.

Long-time captain Jiri Welsch once again declares his presence at 37 years of age.

The Czech national team will compete in Group c of the EuroBasket where it will face Croatia, Spain, Montenegro, Hungary and hosts Romania. Four teams advance from the Group.
