France will be missing Parker, Mickael Gelabale and Florent Pietrus, all retired, as well as injured Nicolas Batum, Rudy Gobert and Ian Mahinmi.

The roster currently includes 15 active players, after the injuries of center Moustapha Fall and Sixers swingman Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and Collet admitted in the press conference which was held on Monday: “Absences are never good news, but we are used to it and we know how to ignore it. We have a revamped group compared to the previous years when the core was the same every time. But fortunately, we still have players with experience”.

“Obviously, we are entering a new era by force of circumstances”, Collet said. “But our ambitions remain high, we must invent the path that will allow us to continue to be among the best teams on the continent. We hope to mingle with the race to the podium”. One more player is expected to be cut during the weekend and Collet will work with 14 players. The two last cuts are planned to be announced 12 days before the start of the tournament.
