The first test of the Spanish national team ahead of the EuroBasket was crowned with success since the reigning continental champions easily bested Tunisia.

Spain head coach Sergio Scariolo implemented quite the rotation in the first preparation game of the national team vs Tunisia using every single one of his guys. In fact, only one player stayed on the floor for more than 19 minutes (Willy Hernangomez – 21:10).

But the quality difference between the “Rojas” and their opponents is, well, huge, and perfectly depicted on the final 71 – 45.

Willy (9 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists) played more than anyone but it was his brother Juancho that posted a team-high with 13 points, along with 6 rebounds in just 14:17. Pau Gasol finished with 11 points and 5 rebounds while Pierre Oriola also notched 11 points plus 4 rebounds in his debut with the senior national team.

Mourad El Mabrouk was top scorer from a feeble, execution-wise, (17/60 from the field) Tunisian team with 10 points. Ziyed Channoufi added 9 points.
