Minus Daniel Hackett, Italy defeated a Tornike Shengelia-less Georgia 73 – 65 in their last match of the “Akropolis International Tournament” and final prep game before the EuroBasket.

Despite the defeat, Georgia won the friendly tournament since it defeated Greece and Serbia in the first two matches.

The Azzurri were better throughout most of the game and prevailed mostly thanks to Marco Bellinelli (17 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists) and Pietro Aradori (18 points).

For the Georgian national team, that lacked Zaza Pachulia for one more match, Giorgi Shermadini posted 14 points and 9 rebounds.
