The last day of the group phase is upon us and all eyes are fixed in Istanbul and the final standings of Group D.

Only one change can happen in the final standings of Group C but in Group D every game matters. Having said that, we already know the eight teams which will advance, but the couplings of the round of 16 with the teams of those two groups playing against each other, will be more than crucial for the rest of the tournament.

Czech Republic-Croatia – Group C (14.30 local time)

The last game of Croatia in Kluj will not have any effect on their final standings and the Czechs are already out.

Russia-Great Britain – Group D  (14.30 local time)

After losing to Latvia, Russia has to bounce back before the knock out games.

Hungary-Spain – Group C (17.15 local time)

A win for Hungary may give the third place to them, but Spain, even if the game means nothing, seems so far to be in a league of their own, compared to any opponent.

Belgium- Serbia – Group D (17.15 local time)

A game for pride for Belgium, a must-win match for Serbia, so you do the math.

Montenegro-Romania – Group C (20.45 local time)

The last chance for Romania to get a win and against Montenegro it will not be easy.

Latvia-Τurkey – Group D (20.45 local time)

The only real big game of the day. It will have ramifications in the group standings and the hosts of the tournament will be facing one of the up-and-comers of the Eurobasket. You can’t miss it.
