Serbia prevailed over Hungary with 86-78 and made it to the next round after a challenging game.

The star: Ognjen Kuzmic led the winners with his contribution, especially in the first half and finished with 17 points, while he also had 10 rebounds.

Turning point: Despite a dynamic start in the game, Serbia had 5 turnovers at 7′, which allowed the Hungarian team to regain some ground and trim to 24-16 after 10 minutes. The gap remained in the second period, while the Serbians reached a double-digit lead for the first time in the game (33-23 at 15′). No matter what, Stojan Ivkovic’s squad stayed close at halftime with 48-41.

Two three-pointers by Bogdanovic and Milosavljevic set the mood for Serbia in the second half (53-43 at 22′). The game started getting into shape for Serbia when the deficit rose to 17 points at 25′, while they kept a 69-53 advantage after 30 minutes.

Key players: Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 17 points and helped his team pull itself up and towards the win.

Zoltan Perl was the only “nightmare” for Serbia, as he could penetrate through defense easily and finished the game with 21 points.
