The 31-year-old player of the Russian NT was surprised that Greece advanced past Lithuania, as he mentions on championat.ru.
“I read an interview of Andrei Kirilenko, in which he said that in this EuroBasket one can beat anyone. However, Greece’s result took me by surprise. Before the game’s tipoff, I expected Lithuania to win.”
“However, Greece has great players in all positions. A tough do-or-die game is awaiting. We have to keep the same momentum as with Croatia”, Kurbanov continued.
