Slovenia is on its route to finish the EuroBasket undefeated in the chase of its first ever medal in the competition.

Back in 2003, it was Lithuania that managed to keep a perfect 6-0 in Sweden and reach its third gold medal (after beating Spain in the final). 7 EuroBasket competitions later, Slovenia aims to do the same.

The Slovenian squad currently holds an 8-0 record, in Helsinki and Istanbul. They are one win away from making their own history.

Winning gold while undefeated is not that rare though, as 24 winners count a perfect record so far. Even so, every time it gets even more impressive as the competitiveness level constantly rises.

UPDATE: Slovenia made it and got the Eurobasket gold unbeaten with a 9-0 record.
