Promitheas Patras prevailed over visiting EWE Baskets with an 81-70 victory to grab its first positive result in Round 2 of 7DAYS EuroCup’s Top 16 round.

Loukas Mavrokefalidis paced the winning side with 19 points and five boards, while he was decisive in the fourth period, helping the Greek side improve to a 1-1 record.

On the other end of the court, Rasid Mahalbasic posted a team-high performance of 18 points and 8 rebounds for the German side, that ties Promitheas with 1-1.

The hosts led 42-38 at halftime and managed to expand their lead to double-digits for the first time in the third period, keeping Oldenburg in check with 68-53 after 30 minutes. The momentum of the game didn’t change much in the fourth, as Promitheas managed to defend its homecourt in the end.
