Reyer Venezia saw a 16-point lead getting erased in five minutes but ultimately escaped Patras with a 70 – 68 over Promitheas to improve its EuroCup Top 16 record to 1-3 in Group F.

Chris Babb missed the game-winning attempt in the last offense and Promitheas dropped to 1-2. The Greek team was down 42 – 58 at the end of the third period and then made a 0 – 16 run to tie the game at 58, two minuted into the fourth quarter. Venezia went ahead and preserved a small, yet steady, lead for the remainder of the match.

Mitchell Watt scored 17 points and Stefano Tonut for Venezia, including the basket for the 65 – 69 and then a free throw for the 68 – 70. Octavius Ellis posted game-highs 21 points and nine rebounds for Promitheas that shot 3/20 3-pointers.
