EuroCup has two open spots for Turkish teams for its 2020-21 campaign

Two teams from the Turkish League can make the jump to 7DAYS EuroCup next season.

Following the season cancellation due to the coronavirus pandemic, 7DAYS EuroCup has an opening for two spots for teams from Turkey, since Galatasaray and Tofas made the jump to Basketball Champions League, according to Eurohoops sources. The competition’s final lineup will be revealed this upcoming Monday and there have already been applications by 32 teams from 16 countries.

The lineup  will follow the 2019-20 EuroCup access criteria as previously announced by the competition upon the season cancellation, and go as follows:

o France (2)
o Germany (2)
o Greece (1)
o Italy (2)
o Lithuania (1)
o Poland (1)
o Spain (3)
o Turkey (2)
o United Basketball League (3)
o Belgium/Israel/Netherlands (1)(*)
o Wild Cards (3)

As previously reported, due to the season cancellation, eight teams have priority after the ECA Shareholders Executive Board approved last May 25 to reserve guaranteed spots for the eight teams that qualified for the 2019-20 EuroCup Quarterfinals.
