UNICS Kazan announced that Dimitrios Priftis will stay the team’s head coach as the sides signed a 1+1 deal.

After almost two decades of coaching in Greece, Priftis moved for the first time outside the borders of his native country and took over UNICS Kazan in 2017.

The team reached quarterfinals and semifinals in 7DAYS EuroCup under the 51-year-old’s leadership and placed third and fourth in the VTB League, in the two seasons prior to this past one that was cut short due to coronavirus pandemic.

The squad roster has undergone some changes recently as they parted ways with five players including Alex Tyus and Raymar Morgan while they brought in Jordan Morgan and Pavel Antipov
