Germani Brescia acquired center Dusan Ristic on loan from Crvena Zvezda, the Italian club announced. Ristic spent the previous season with Kazakh VTB League club Astana, also on loan from Red Star.

“He comes from a very good championship like VTB, but above all, he comes from an important basketball school, the one of Red Star Belgrade and has important experience with FMP,” Brescia coach Vincenzo Esposito said on Ristic. “We’ve been following him for years, both personally and as an organization.”

Ristic, 24, comes off a productive season with Astana. The Serbian big man averaged 15.7 points, a team-high 10.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists for 22.3 PIR in 32:39 minutes over 18 VTB games before the season’s cancelation.

“He embraced our proposal quickly, showing his availability to become an important player, ready to play his own cards to also land on the NBA,” Esposito added.

Ristic had joined Crvena Zvezda in 2018 on a three-year deal after playing college basketball with the Arizona Wildcats.
