Partizan Belgrade announced that team captain Novica Velickovic signed a new contract with the team that will keep him on board for the 2020-2021 season.

“The story of how much Partizan means to me and how much I’m attached to the team has been told many times,” Velickovic said per Partizan’s website. “Over the years, my role on the team has changed, but the desire to win and the motivation to justify my place on the court have never changed.”

Velickovic, a former EuroLeague Rising Star winner (2009), began his career with Partizan in 2004 and played there until 2009, when he left for Real Madrid. He returned in March 2016 and is currently the record-holder for the most games played with the club’s jersey.
