Nikola Ivanovic stepped up for Buducnost in the win against Brescia while Unicaja managed to keep Metropolitans under control

Group B action of the 2020-21 7DAYS EuroCup tipped off with two matchups as Unicaja Malaga and Buducnost VOLI came out victorious.

Unicaja took on the early lead (30-18) and held off Boulogne Metropolitans 92 for a 96-88 win despite the latter putting on a valiant but late effort.

Francis Alonso and Tim Abromaitis scored 14 points each with the former shooting 4-6 from deep while Axel Bouteille helped with 13.

On the other side, Tomer Ginat scored 16 in addition to Anthony Brown’s 15 and Bastien Pinault’s 12 points.

Meanwhile, Buducnost started with a 93-81 win against Germani Brescia thanks to a dominant 28-16 fourth quarter.

Nikola Ivanovic was leading the way with 24 points while Justin Cobbs and Melvin Ejim followed with 16 each. Ejim also grabbed nine rebounds.

For Brescia, Dusan Ristic put on a strong effort with 17 points on 7-11 from the field while Kenny Cherry helped with 12 points.
