The Telenet Giants Antwerp put on a valiant effort through three quarters but couldn’t hold won Lokomotiv Kuban which eventually got an 89-72 home win.
Jordan Crawford banked 21 points for the winning side while Alan Williams followed with 19 and Will Cummings with 17 points. Williams also logged nine boards, two assists, two steals and two blocks for a total of 30 PIR.
On the other side, Kenneth Smith put on a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds while Stephaun Branch added 13 and David Dudzinski 12 points.
Meanwhile, Segafredo Virtus Bologna beat Lietkabelis on the road 76-61 primarily thanks to an outstanding defensive effort in the third quarter, keeping the Lithuanian at just three points (17-3).
Awudu Abass scored 19 for Virtus while Giampaolo Ricci helped with 12 points. Kyle Weems and Amar Alibegovic had 11 each.
For Lietkabelis, Kyle Vinales banked 20 and Margiris Normantas ten points.
To close the action in Group C for the day, Monaco managed to get away with an 82-76 road win against MoraBanc Andorra, thanks to a 10-0 run in the fourth quarter.
Dee Bost was leading the French team with 21 points while Khadeen Carrington scored 14 and Darral Willis 11 points.
For Andorra, Clevin Hannah had 14 points in addition to Malick Dime’s 13 and Tyson Perez’s ten points.
