Mornar sealed its first EuroCup victory of the season with an upset over Unicaja

Feisty Mornar Bar came up with the upset over Unicaja Malaga at home after grabbing a 90-80 victory in the opening game for Round 2 in Group B of 7DAYS EuroCup.

Jacob Pullen led the winning side with 24 points, two rebounds and two assists, as Nemanja Vranjes posted 16 points, 7 rebounds.

The Montenegrin side rose to the occasion right from the first half, dominating the game with a 58-39 lead at 20′. The reaction came quickly in the third half for Unicaja, which managed to close the margin to 71-56, however, the hosts made full use of their rotation to reach the victory.

Besides Pullen and Vranjes, Isaiah Whitehead added 12 points and Derek Needham scored 10 points

Dario Brizuela led all Unicaja scorers with 16 points, while Deon Thompson, Alberto Diaz and Axel Bouteille tapped 11 points apiece. Unicaja now falls to a 1-1 record.

Buducnost Voli Podgorica prevailed over Boulogne Metropolitans 92 with an 89-83 victory on the road later on Tuesday.

Willie Reed and Melvin Ejim paced the Podgorica side with 22 and 16 points each, as Nikola Ivanovic tapped 13 points.

Rob Gray scored a team-high for the French side with 19 points, while Anthony Brown posted 14 points.

Buducnost registered its second victory of the season, while Boulogne has yet to score a victory two games in.
