EuroCup Group A Recap: Miller-McIntyre, Mika lead Partizan to away win over Bahcesehir

Partizan Belgrade escaped Bahcesehir with a strong roadkill.

Codi Miller-McIntyre scored a team-high 22 points (including some key baskets in crunch time) and dished out seven assists, Eric Mika added 19 points plus six rebounds and Partizan Belgrade beat Bahcesehir 82 – 79 on the road to capture its second win in four games.

Bahcesehir, that was without guard Alex Perez, remains winless and on the brink of elimination. Erick Green dropped 23 points and got five rebounds while Jamal Jones had 18 points plus eight rebounds and Burak Yildizli 16 points.

Partizan was leading for most of the fourth period and needed some big shots to get a game-winning advantage down the stretch. Captain Novica Velickovic hit the 3-pointer for the 68 – 73 and then Miller-McIntyre nailed another one to put his team up 72 – 78 with 1:12 left.

Bahcesehir persisted and Green made it 76 – 78 with 30 seconds to play. McIntyre then made back to back baskets to secure the victory for the visiting squad.

In the other Group A game held Tuesday (20/10), Adam Brondziasky scored 15 points, Ante Tomic had a diverse contribution of 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists as Joventut Badalona improved its record to 4-0 by beating Reyer Venezia 92 – 70.

Nenad Dimitrijevic added 14 points for Badalona. Stefano Tonut and Andrea Tonut had 13 points apiece for Venezia that is 1-2 with one game less.
