Unicaja Malaga guard Alberto Diaz will miss six weeks after suffering a hamstring injury on his left leg during practice, the Spanish club announced. He will be out for the rest of the EuroCup regular season and may be ready when the Top 16 begins on January 13.
Diaz’s injury is another blow to Malaga’s backcourt that is also without guard Jaime Fernandez.
So far in the 2020-2021 EuroCup season, Diaz has been averaging 6.8 points, a team-high 6.8 assists and 3.9 rebounds in the EuroCup season so far.
