A comeback win over Promitheas sends Cedevita Olimpija to the 7DAYS EuroCup Top 16

Cedevita Olimpija took down Promitheas, 77-73, Thursday evening in a rescheduled 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season Round 5 contest.

The win guaranteed a Top 16 berth eliminating the Greek outlet in the process. The positive outcome for the team based in Ljubliana also advances Nanterre 92 to the next round through Group D.

Kendrick Perry led the way with 24 points. Jaka Blazic added 18 in the Arena Stozice encounter. The hosts will finish up their Regular Season facing Promitheas again next week but in Greece.

The team coached by Makis Giatras missing Charis Giannopoulos will also host Frutti Extra Bursaspor on December 22 but the fourth loss in a row ruled out any Top 16 implications moving forward.

Vangelis Mantzaris put up a triple-double of 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists in Slovenia. Danny Agbelese made 7/7 field goals for a team-high 17 points and also grabbed seven rebounds in the losing effort.

The visitors went up 15 points in the first half but failed to hold on.
