UNICS Kazan logged its tenth straight win across all competitions with a  convincing 86-61 victory against Mornar Bar in the 7DAYS EuroCup.

They improved to a perfect 4-0 record in Group H, securing a spot in the quarterfinals, while Mornar stayed at 1-3.

Isaiah Canaan scored 14 points followed by Okaro White with 12 and John Holland with 11 points. Jamar Smith scored eight and became the third all-time scorer of the competition, getting past Errick McCollum.

For Mornar, Nemanja Gordic had 14 in addition to Johnny Hamilton’s 12 and Isaiah Whitehead’s 11 points.

UNICS took over control from early on as they started the game on a 9-0 run. It seemed as though Mornar’s lineup on the floor just couldn’t get the ball to go in.

Their misses off wide-open shots and layups coupled with the second-chance points but the hosts spelled disaster. UNICS went up by 20 (51-31) at the half and they didn’t look back.

Meanwhile, Herbalife Gran Canaria logged its first win in the Top 16 with 79-74 against MoraBanc Andorra. They improved to 1-3 while the Spaniards now hold a 2-2 record.

John Shurna scored 21 points while Stanley Okoye followed with 18 points by AJ SLaughter with 17. On the other side, Kelvin Hannah scored 20 and Tomas Gielo 16 points.
