Ante Tomic scored 18 points and grabbed five rebounds as Joventut Badalona beat Nanterre 92 95 – 88 on the road to become the second team from Group E to advance to the playoffs after standings leader AS Monaco. Badalona will face undefeated Virtus Bologna for a spot in the semifinals.
Marcquise Reed finished with 27 points for Nanterre that needed to win the game by at least six points and had a good start in the game by leading 25 – 17 in the first period. The visiting squad recovered quickly, proceeded to assume a double-digit lead and then established a safe advantage to secure its qualification.
Pau Ribas added 16 points and six assists for Badalona while Nenand Dimitrijevic added 14 points. Isaia Cordinier had 15 points and seven assists for Nanterre.
In the other Group E game, Monaco defeated already-eliminated Unicaja Malaga 98 – 89 on the road.
