Justin Cobbs hit the game-winning jumper from mid range with two seconds to play as Buducnost beat AS Monaco 77 – 76 on the road to claim a 1-0 lead in EuroCup’s best-of-three quarterfinal series.

Mathias Lessort had a chance to give Monaco the lead after the inbounds pass on the other end, but his hook shot was off target. Monaco, that was 5-1 in the Top 16, has to win in Podgorica to get the series back to its home court.

Cobbs finished with 21 points while Willie Reed had a EuroCup career-highs 24 points and 13 rebounds to pace Buducnost that was trailing by double digits early in the second period before coming back to balance the score at halftime (38 – 37)

Rob Gray finished with 18 points for Monaco. Lessort added 13 points and seven rebounds while Dee Bost had 13 points plus six assists.
