The deadline for joining the 2021-22 7DAYS EuroCup season is getting closer and Unicaja Malaga has not yet gone through with its application.
The reason being, according to SUR, is that the club’s leadership has been weighing down which path to send the organization and has been considering participation in the Basketball Champions League.
The idea has been looming for weeks and it becomes more realistic with each day passing, as the deadline for the EuroCup registration expires in a few days, on Friday (June 8).
Unicaja spent the past two decades continuously playing in either the EuroLeague or the EuroCup and this would be a big change of course for the club. It should also be noted that a number of former EuroCup teams opted to join the BCL last season.
