Joan Penarroya is officially the new boss of Valencia.

Valencia announced that Joan Penarroya is the team’s new head coach. Penarroya, a former two-time Basketball Champions League champion with San Pablo Burgos, signs a two-year deal with the Spanish EuroCup club.

Valencia Basket has reached an agreement for Joan Penarroya (Terrassa, 04/20/1969, 52 years old) to become the head coach of the taronja entity’s first men’s team, with a relationship that will unite the two parties for the next season. The Catalan coach arrives after ending his relationship with Hereda San Pablo Burgos, a team with which he lifted three titles last season: the 2019-20 and 2020-21 editions of the Basketball Champions League and the FIBA ​​Intercontinental Cup 2021. Before directing the Burgos team, Peñarroya was in charge of MoraBanc Andorra and Baxi Manresa, for which he has accumulated seven seasons of experience leading teams in the Liga Endesa.
