Virtus Bologna added depth on the perimeter by signing point guard Michele Ruzzier on a two-year deal, the club announced Monday. Ruzzier (1.81 meters, 28 years old) arrives from fellow Italian side Varese where he averaged 8.9 points, 5.0 assists and 2.2 rebounds in Italian League action last season. Ruzzier returns to the 7DAYS EuroCup after making his debut with Umana Reyer Venice, when he helped the team reach the Last 32 phase in the 2015-16 season averaging 2.8 points and 1.7 assists in limited action. Ruzzier started his career with hometown Trieste, and also played with Fortitudo Bologna and Vanoli Cremona during his career. He also won the gold medal at the U20 European Championships in 2013, and earlier this year made his national team debut with Italy.
