Virtus Segafredo Bologna opted to terminate the contract of Vince Hunter after the violation of the anti-doping sports code, the team announced Wednesday.

The player tested positive for the banned substance Carboxy THC (a marijuana agent) following Game 4 of the LBA Finals, as announced a couple of weeks ago.

Per the press release: “Virtus Segafredo Bologna S.p.A. announces that, following the disqualification received by the player Vincent Hunter for violation of the anti-doping sports code, it has decided to activate the unilateral termination clause provided for by the contract.

Virtus Pallacanestro wishes Vince the best of luck for his professional career.”
