Jacob Pullen’s shooting and Melvin Ejim’s cold blood handed the win to Cedevita.

Cedevita Olimpija made a 0 – 7 run in the last 2:19 minutes of the away game against Gran Canaria to leave Las Palmas with a 72 – 79 win.

With Gran Canaria up 77 – 72, Melvin Ejim scored a basket and then Jacob Pullen hit his sixth 3-pointer to tie the game at 77. Ejim then made the winning free-throws with 42 seconds to play while Gran Canaria was missing on several opportunities to connect to the basket.

Pullen finished with 27 points and Ejim had 12. Jaka Blazic provided 18 points and eight rebounds for Cedevita.

Nicolas Brussino led Gran Canaria with 20 points.

Meanwhile in Valencia and another Group B game, the local team and perennial EuroCup contender began the season with a 92 – 82 victory over Promitheas Patras. The Spanish side was minus leading players Bojan Dubljevic and Mike Tobey.

Louis Labeyrie produced 23 points and eight rebounds for Valencia while Martin Hermannsson had 13 points. Jasiel Rivero finished with 13 points and seven rebounds in his EuroCup debut and Josep Puerto posted 13 points.

NBA Draft prospect Nikos Rogkavopoulos was the top performer of Promitheas with 13 points and seven rebounds. Isaiah Miles and Abdul Gaddy also scored 13 apiece.
