Gran Canaria bounced back and picked up their first win of the season against Promitheas on the road

Gran Canaria bounced back to register its first win of the new 7DAYS EuroCup regular season and defeated Promitheas Patras on the road 85-81.

It was a head-to-head fight for 40 minutes and GranCa found solutions in Artem Pustovyi (10 points) and John Shurna who helped their team survive this contest in the end.

Shurna ended the game with a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Spanish side, while Dylan Ennis paced Porfi Fisac’s squad with a total of 20 points and Andrew Albicy also contributed 10 points and 8 assists.

Young forward Nikos Rogkavopoulos posted a career-high 21 points along with 6 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 assists for a PIR of 28 to lead Promitheas’ efforts, even though the Greek side slipped its second game in a row.

Isaiah Miles had 14 points for Luis Casimiro’s squad, Kendrick Ray added 13 and Jerai Grant finished the game with 12 points.

Frutti Extra Bursaspor also picked up its first win of the season on Tuesday after beating Umana Reyer Venezia 70-62 on the road.

Derek Needham led the way for the Turkish side with 18 points and 4 assists, Allerik Freeman posted 15 points and Egemen Guven had 10 points for the visiting side.

Mitchell Watt and Stefano Tonut both posted 10 points for Venezia, that slipped to a 1-1 record.
