Eric Mika’s career-highs pushes Bourg to first win

Bourg registered its first victory this EuroCup season and did so in style against Promitheas.

Eric Mika posted EuroCup career-highs in points (22), rebounds (11) and PIR (32) as JL Bourg en Bresse destroyed Promitheas Patras 92 – 62 to get its first win after beginning with two losses.

Promitheas began the game better and took a 9 – 13 lead after six minutes but Bourg turned everything upside down in a flash to close the first quarter up 25 – 19. The French side proceeded to completely control the game turning into a blowout in the last period.

While Mika was dominating inside the pain, Rashee Sulaimon (13 points, five assists) and Axel Julien (10 points, seven assists) were setting the tone by combining for more than half of their team’s 23 assists. Hugo Benitez added 12 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

Kendrick Ray stood out from still winless Promitheas with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Isaiah Miles had 11 points.
