Segafredo Virtus Bologna announced that two team members tested positive for the coronavirus in the swab carried out on December 23rd. The team has been isolated and the next testing will be done on December 28th.
“Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna announces that, by carrying out a molecular swab yesterday, two members of the group tested positive for Covid-19. The club promptly notified the health authorities who ordered the quarantine of the team. On the day of 28/12 the control molecular swab will be carried out, following which, the negative team members will be able to resume activity,” the club announced.
Their game against Olimpia Milano scheduled for December 26th has been postponed. Milano has also been hit by the virus and registered as much as ten cases.
