Jasiel Rivero had his best game yet in the Valencia jersey with 24 points on 8-11 shots as his team beat Bursaspor 86 – 68 in a postponed game for Round 7 of the EuroCup regular season.

Rivero had seven points in the first quarter when Valencia made a 23 – 5 start to keep Bursaspor at bay from early on. He closed the match with 11 points in the final period to push back the visiting side and safely pace his team to an easy win.

Xabi Lopez-Arostegui dropped 14 points for Valencia. While he and Rivero were hitting buckets, San Van Rossom (seven points, seven assists plus three points) and Bojan Dubljevic (12 points, seven assists along with two points) provided contributions in various areas of the game. Klemen Prepelic added 11 points.

Alerik Freeman had 25 points and Egemen Guven finished with 18 points for Bursaspor that never managed to truly recover after Valencia overpowered them in the first quarter. The Turkish side managed to cut a 19-point deficit to single digits in the fourth period but never became threatening for the hosts.

Thanks to this win, Valencia improved to 5-3 and caught up with Virtus Bologna in the third spot of the Group B standings. Bursaspor dropped to 3-5 and is tied with Cedevita Olimpija for seventh place.
