Frutti Extra Bursaspor will not visit Virtus Segafredo Bologna according to the initial schedule upon its request to postpone the game. The 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season Round 10 fixture to be held at Virtus Segafredo Arena has been suspended, Euroleague Basketball announced Monday.

Per the press release: “The 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season Round 10 game Virtus Segafredo Bologna vs. Frutti Extra Bursaspor, originally scheduled to be played on Wednesday, January 19, has been suspended. Bursaspor requested the suspension after several team members tested positive for COVID-19, which leaves the team without the minimum eight players on the Authorization List fit to play.

Following the Special Regulations due to COVID-19, approved by the ECA Shareholders Executive Board, each game can be rescheduled up to three times, if there are available dates. Euroleague Basketball will coordinate with the affected teams the best options to reschedule the games. Alternative dates will be announced on official Euroleague Basketball platforms.”

Three games of Round 9 did not take place according to the initial schedule last week. Cedevita Olimpija at home opposite Promitheas, Umana Reyer Venezia colliding with Gran Canaria, and MoraBanc Andorra taking on Slask Wroclaw were suspended.

Round 9 minus the three games pending a new date drove the 20 participating teams to the midway point of the 2021-22 Regular Season. Following the completion of the 18-game schedule, the top eight ranked sides of each two groups will advance to the knockout stage featuring single-game elimination contests all the way to the Final.
