Partizan was compelling for another big win in EuroCup

Partizan made short work of Hamburg Towers to deliver a 102-77 blowout in Round 10 of the 7DAYS EuroCup.

Matthias Lessort came out strong in his second game of the season, to lift Partizan with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals for a PIR of 33. Zach LeDay dropped 18 points and 8 rebounds for Zeljko Obradovic‘s squad, Kevin Punter followed with 15 points and Balsa Koprovica added 13 points.

Hamburg entered the game with a three-game winning streak momentum but the pressure against the Group A favorites was evident right from the first quarter, which Partizan led by 34-14.

Robin Christen had 20 points for Hamburg, Caleb Homesley posted 14 points and Ray McCallum had 11.

Joventut Badalona exceeded its winning streak to four games after outlasting Dolomiti Energia Trento 82-65 at home, with another perfect defensive display.

Vladimir Brodziasnky picked up where he left in the previous game, to lead Joventut with 21 points and 4 rebounds. Brandon Paul had 14 points and Ante Tomic scored 10, while Carles Duran’s squad lacked Pau Ribas.

Johnathan Williams scored 15 points and picked up 7 rebounds for shortstaffed Trento which suffered its fifth straight defeat.

Panagiotis Kalaitzakis powered Lietkabelis to an 88-65 victory over Slask Wroclaw at home, their second in a row. Kalaitzakis dropped 18 points and 4 rebounds for the Lithuanian side, Vytenis Lipkevicius followed with 16, Djordje Gagic tapped 14, and youngster Dovydas Giedraitis had 10 points.

Lietkabelis swept the regular-season series (they beat the Polish side on the road for the season opener) to improve to a 5-5 record.

Kodi Justice posted 13 points for Slask, while Aleksander Dziewa and Lukasz Kolenda tapped 11 points each. Slask suffered its third consecutive defeat, after getting their sole victory of the season in Round 7 over Hamburg

In Group B action, Calvin Harris’ game-winner helped JL Bourg put an end to its three-game skid and emerged with an 81-78 victory on the road against Umana Reyer Venezia.

Harris paced the French side with 19 points, 4 rebounds and 4 steals, Pierre Pelos had 13 points, Rasheed Sulaimon followed with 12, Jacorey Williams had 11 and Jalen Jones completed the list of top scorers with 10 points.

Stefano Tonut tried to pace a comeback for Venezia that fell short and had a game-high of 22 points for the hosts.
