Lokomotiv Kuban announced the addition of shooting guard and leading VTB League scorer Jaylen Barford. The American player is signed to a contract for the rest of the season that includes an extension option for 2022-2023.
Barford, 26, arrives at Lokomotiv from fellow VTB Astana. He has been averaging 23.0 points and 4.8 rebounds in 34:38 minutes.
“I am looking forward to joining the team,” Barford said, per Lokomotiv. “I am grateful to the management of Lokomotiv Kuban for believing in my potential and giving me the opportunity to play for such a respected club. Let’s win together!”
With Loko, Barford will play in EuroCup for the first time in his career. The Russian side is currently 8-3 and tied with Partizan Belgrade at the second place of Group A.
Lokomotiv is now featuring the two top scorers in VTB, with team star Errick McCollum and Barford.
