Lietkabelis grabbed a potentially key 87 – 72 away win over the Hamburg Towers in a rescheduled EuroCup match for Round 13. This result lifted the Lithuanian side to fourth place in the standings in Group A which leads to homecourt advantage in the eighthfinals of the competition.

Six Lietkabelis players scored in double figures for the Lithuanian team that closed the first quarter up 8 – 23 and never looked back. Gediminas Orelik (16 points, seven rebounds) and Vytenis Lipkavecius (16 points) while Kaspars Benzins and Giorgos Kalaitzakis had 12 points apiece.

In his second EuroCup game with the Towers, Trent Bluiett had a team-high 19 points plus six rebounds. Jaylon Brown added 17 points and Maik Kotsar posted 16 points plus seven rebounds. The German side has advanced to the next stage but doesn’t have any mathematical chances to move to the Top 4 places of the Group.
