The 2022 EuroCup eightfinals pairs are all set

The finale of the 7DAYS EuroCup regular season was a dramatic one as Umana Reyer Venice clinched a 76-69 victory over Gran Canaria in a hard-fought battle that came down the wire.

The Italians remained in charge of the game for roughly 30 minutes before GranCa pushed for a comeback in the fourth quarter. After a handful of lead exchanges early in the final period, Jordan Theodore and Jeff Brooks were there to seal the victory for the visitors.

Brooks stepped up 17 points to lead the efforts of Reyer, Theodore posted 16 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and Mitchell Watt picked up 15 points as the team won its second straight game to end the regular season with a 9-9 record.

Khalifa Diop and John Shurna both tapped 14 points for GranCa which retained its No. 1 seed in Group B with a 12-6 record.

Cedevita Olimpija Llubjlana crushed Promitheas in Patras with an 88-67 win to extend its winning streak to seven games and lock the 3rd seed of Group B. Jacob Pullen scored 19 points to lead the way for Cedevita that got a 17-point lead in the second quarter and never looked back to complete the regular season with a road victory. Marko Radovanovic posted a season-high with 15 points, Yogi Ferrell had 14 and Zach Auguste tapped 13 points.

Dimitris Agravanis paced Promitheas with 16 points and 7 rebounds, Jerai Grant followed with 15 points, while youngsters Athanasios Bazinas and Georgios Tanoulis added 11 points apiece. The Greek side ends this season’s EuroCup journey with an overall 4-14 record.
