Partizan closes regular season with road win

Partizan left Italy with a victory over Trento and is now getting ready for the eighthfinals.

Zach LeDay scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as Partizan Belgrade concluded its run in the EuroCup regular season by beating 63 – 79 on the road. The Serbian side has claimed the second seed in the standings and will face Bursaspor in the quarterfinals.

Cameron Reynolds (15 points) and Dominique Johnson (13 points scored in double figures for Trento that didn’t manage to close its EuroCup campaign with a win and dropped to 1 – 15. It’s the worst record in the competition.

Apart from LeDay, Dallas Moore had 12 points and Yam Madar contributed 11 points plus eight rebounds for Partizan. With LeDay scoring 12 of his points in the first 17 minutes, the Serbian side closed halftime up 29 – 37, only for Trento to come back in the third quarter and take a 53 – 52 lead.

LeDay and Madar helped Partizan recover quickly and retake a double-digit advantage. With the score 61 – 68 and 3:55 to play, Zeljko Obradovic‘s players made a 0 – 9 run to completely dispatch their opponents.

Morabanc Andorra beat Slask Wroclaw 95 – 90 on the road behind 17 points by Conor Morgan and a strong 3-point performance (14-30). Kerem Kanter’s 20 points and 13 rebounds weren’t enough for the hosts.

Alex Perez had 17 points plus and Turk Telekom defeated Hamburg Towers 95 – 70. In France, Boulogne Metropolitans downed Lietkabelis 77 – 64 with Will Cummings (22 points, four assists, four steals) taking charge.
