Τurk Telekom and Promitheas enter the playoffs

After Paris and Gran Canaria from last week, two more teams secured their presence in the 7DAYS EuroCup playoffs

Six more games coming up tomorrow for Round 13 of the 7DAYS EuroCup, but Turk Telekom Ankara and Promitheas Patras can already celebrate their qualification to the postseason.

Turk Telekom Ankara beat last-place Slask Wroclaw 76-63. It was not an easy game, but when everything was said and done, the Turkish side prevailed.

Axel Bouteille led the way with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Tony Taylor scored 14, Jerian Grant had 11 points and 7 assists, while Berk Demir had 11 points and 7 rebounds in the win. Conor Morgan collected 17 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists for Slask, and Jakub Niziol netted 12 in a losing effort.

On the other hand, Promitheas Patras got the 105-103 road win over Veolia Towers Hamburg and it was enough for them too. Joe Thomasson with 19 points and Arnoldas Kulbolka (photo) with 17 led a balanced offensive effort from the guests who jumped to an 8-5 record and also have the tiebreakers that pushed them into the postseason.

Yoeli Childs had 26 points for the losing side, while Anthony Polite added 19 points.

On the contrary, Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse lost at home to Germany Brescia 66-74 and missed the chance to become the first team from Group A to qualify for the playoffs.

Meanwhile, Lietkabelis managed to get the 77-75 road win over Cluj-Napoca keeping its distance until the end. Gediminas Orelik scored 20 points and also secured a very crucial offensive rebound in the closing seconds, as Cluj made a comeback from 76-66.

Nemanja Gordic with 17 points was the best from the losing side.
