Badalona gets stunning comeback win over Ulm

Joel Parra went off in the last 15 minutes and Badalona made a superb turnaround against Ulm.

Joel Parra scored 14 out of his 22 points in the fourth period to lead Joventut Badalona to an 82 – 76 comeback win over Ratiopharm Ulm after trailing by 20 late in the third period.

With the score 39 – 59 and two minutes left in the third quarter, Parra scored 12 points through a 20 – 2 run that tied the score at 61. Ulm reacted a bit to take a 65 – 72 advantage but the hosts answered with 12 unanswered points. This time, they never lost the lead until the end.

Yago dos Santos had a strong all-around performance of 16 points, eight assists and seven rebounds for Ulm but made some key mistakes down the stretch. Brandon Paul and Tomas Klepeisz scored 12 apiece. Ulm is now 8-6.

Apart from Parra, Ante Tomic posted 16 points seven rebounds and Kyle Guy dropped 15 points for Badalona that improved to 9-5, and climbed second in Group A.

In Italy. Turk Telekom (10-4) took care of business with an 80 – 72 win over Dolomiti Energia Trento. After a poor first half where Trento (2-12) had a six-point lead in the second quarter (30-24), but the Turkish side drastically improved on all fronts to take over the game in the third quarter, and in the opening minutes of the fourth seal deal.

Jerian Grant led all scorers with 26 points. Andres Forray on the other side scored 18 points.
