London Lions’ captain and one of the most known UK players will focus on making a full recovery from an injury

The London Lions announced that team captain Ovie Soko would be leaving the club.

Per the official report, Soko will focus on fully recovering from an injury that has affected his ability to contribute to the team every day.

Ovie captained the first UK squad to win a EuroCup match since 2004 and was the first-ever club to record five wins.

Ovie’s domestic achievements include captaining the Lions for the 2023 BBL Cup win and averaging 19.9 points and 8.6 rebounds during the 2019-2020 campaign.

The 32-year-old forward started his pro career in 2014 with French Boulazac Dordogne. He can be played for Trikala, Brindisi, Murcia, Le Mans, Shiga Lakestars in Japan, and the Lions.

He was averaging 11,4 points and 6,1 rebounds in Eurocup this season.
