Plenty of transactions spark the 7DAYS EuroCup pack, including Umana Reyer Venice bringing in Brazilian power forward Bruno Caboclo.

Caboclo, 27, was released by ratiopharm Ulm and the Italian club followed up with the countering announcement later Friday. The veteran of 107 NBA games, after being selected with the 20th overall pick of the 2014 draft, joined Ulm last January and was essential in winning Germany’s easyCredit BBL, besides stretching his EuroCup debut to 11 appearances.

The first summer signing marked the reunion with the team’s youth product, Davide Casarin, two years after his departure. Furthermore, Andrea De Nicolao re-signed and was named captain. More contract extensions sent both Jeff Brooks and Jordan Parks to continue playing under Croatian tactician Neven Spahija.

Dimitris Katsivelis moves to Aris

Elsewhere, Aris secured the services of experienced floor general Dimitris Katsivelis for the 2023-24 season. Between AEK and Promitheas, he logged 23 games played in EuroCup with individual club continental experience highlighted by 46 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague appearances throughout the long spell at Olympiacos. Silvio de Soousa and Ismael Sanogo were previously confirmed for the team coached by Giannis Kastritis.

Louisville product V. J. King joined the Veolia Hamburg Towers, following a solid BBL campaign with the Bristol Flyers. Besides the British Basketball League, he also played six games in Luxembourg since moving his talents from the G League to Europe. Jumping into the EuroCup field, he is the first summer addition for the team coached by Benka Barloschky.

Picking up 29-year-old Tyrone Wallace and keeping 21-year-old guard Boran Guler added to the squad of Turk Telekom. Already entered by the team based in Ankara are Jalen Adams, Metehan Akyel, Markis McDuffie, James Palmer Jr., Troy Selim Sav, Yigitcan Saybir, Okben Ulubay, and Mehmet Yagmur alongside new head coach Nenad Canak.

London Lions re-signed Luke Nelson

As officially announced by the club, Luke Nelson will be staying with the London Lions for a second consecutive season.

The 28-year-old British guard joined the Lions last summer and averaged 6.8 points and 3.3 assists in his 17 appearances in the EuroCup. He also averaged 11.4 points and 4.2 assists in the BBL.

Nelson began his professional career with Real Betis in 2017 and later played for Manresa, Gottingen, and French Le Portel before returning to his home country of England.

He will once again have the opportunity to play in the EuroCup, as the Lions have been confirmed as part of the lineup for the upcoming 2023/24 season.
