Jon Stefansson and Valencia reached an agreement earlier today and the Icelandic guard will play for the Spanish club until the end of the current season. Stefansson joined the team after the end of the 2015 Eurobasket and initially signed a three-month contract to replace the injured Antoine Diot.
The 33-year-old player has taken part in 18 official matches so far, averaging seven points, one rebound and one assist in 13 minutes of action in Liga Endesa, with a tremendous 67% in two-pointers and 45% from beyond the arc. In Eurocup, Stefansson has 6.4 points, 2.1 assists and 0.9 steals per game, in just over 17 minutes of action.
