JL Bourg en Bresse coach Frederic Fauthoux signed a three-year contract extension, the French club announced. The announced arrives a few days before Bourg participates in the EuroCup finals for the first time in club history, facing Paris Basketball.
“I’m very happy happy to be able to make this decision, which wasn’t easy,” Fauthoux said per the club. “Its a step forward, which relieves me. This is the best resolution I could have. We have a lot of things to do together. I like when there’s the human factor in relationships, it exists with the players, the managers, and the fans. Here in Bourg, there’s a real project.”
Fauthoux joined Bourg in 2022 and the team made bi steps under his leadership, reaching the Leaders Cup Final, the EuroCup Top 16 and the French League semifinals for the first time ever last year. This season, Bourg is about to compete in the EuroCup Finals while standing at a 27 – 19 (tied for 3rd) in the French League.
