Dolomiti Energia Trentino officially appointed Alessandro Rossi as the new head coach of the team, signing the Italian specialist to a two-year contract.
The 41-year-old arrives in Trento after winning the U20 European Championship with the Italian national team and following several successful seasons in Italy’s domestic leagues.
Rossi began his coaching career in Napoli’s youth system before making a name for himself in Rieti, where he first earned promotion to Serie A2 as an assistant coach and later guided the club to multiple playoff appearances as head coach.
In 2021-22, he led Scafati to promotion to the Italian top division, setting a club record for wins and remaining undefeated at home throughout the entire season and playoffs.
Most recently, Rossi coached Rieti to back-to-back playoff semifinals and also had a brief stint with Treviso Basket last season.
