Hapoel Midtown Jerusalem has solidified its future backcourt by signing 23-year-old Israeli national team guard Ethan Burg to a long-term contract extending through the 2028/29 season, as announced on Monday.
The 1.91-meter guard joins the BKT EuroCup club following a stint at Tennessee throughout the 2025/26 NCAA season, where he averaged 2.5 points and 1.1 assists per game in 31 appearances. A lifelong supporter of the club, Burg previously made his professional debut with Bnei Ofek Dist Herzliya.
“I am excited and proud to join Hapoel Jerusalem, the club I have supported for as long as I can remember,” he said. “I grew up in the stands at the Arena, and the opportunity to wear the red jersey and play for Hapoel’s amazing fans is a very meaningful and emotional full-circle moment for me.”
