Aris Thessaloniki is emerging as one of the most ambitious clubs in the European basketball market this summer, with the Greek side reportedly pursuing high-profile additions as it looks to strengthen its roster under head coach Vassilis Spanoulis.

According to a report from Alessandro Maggi of Sportando, Aris has set its sights on Shavon Shields while also moving closer to securing the services of Matt Morgan.

Shields, one of the most accomplished forwards in European basketball, has reportedly received a massive offer from the Greek club. Italian newspaper La Repubblica reported that Aris has put forward a proposal worth more than €8 million over three years in an effort to lure the star player to Thessaloniki, but sources close to the Greek team denied to Eurohoops this information.

At the same time, Aris is making significant progress in negotiations with Morgan. According to Il Resto del Carlino, the guard has received a two-year contract offer worth approximately €2 million, with discussions said to be advancing positively.

The aggressive approach highlights Aris’ determination to establish itself among Europe’s elite clubs. Backed by ambitious plans and led by Spanoulis, one of the most respected figures in European basketball, the organization appears ready to invest heavily in top-level talent.
