Besiktas Gain is set to launch its roster restructuring for the upcoming 2026–27 season by securing an important internal transfer.

As reported by Bugra Uzar of Eurohoops on Monday, the Istanbul outfit decided to continue its partnership with 30-year-old point guard Berk Ugurlu, who agreed to remain with the team largely due to the influence of head coach Dusan Alimpijevic.

Since joining Besiktas in the summer of 2023, the experienced national player has developed into a captain and a vital component of the rotation, averaging 6.4 points, 4.1 assists, and 2.0 rebounds across 23 EuroCup games last season, alongside 7.0 points, 4.8 assists, and 2.9 rebounds per game in the Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi.

This internal retention arrives as the Black Eagles are currently caught between continuing in the BKT EuroCup or being promoted to the top-tier EuroLeague for the next season. Following their impressive continental campaign, team executives are awaiting a final decision regarding a wildcard that could elevate the Turkish squad into Europe’s premier basketball tournament.

Heading to the next EuroCup installment, German club ratiopharm Ulm completed a major international signing by acquiring 18-year-old French talent Adam Atamna from EuroLeague outfit LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne.

Back in his 2024-25 journey, the highly regarded young guard previously dominated the adidas NextGen EuroLeague tournament held at the Ulm campus, where he set a record by averaging 33.0 points per game alongside impressive shooting percentages and defensive statistics.

Meanwhile, Tofas strengthened their EuroCup squad with 30-year-old center Terrell Carter II.
