Kostas Antetokounmpo is expected to become (again) a player for Aris, this time not on loan as he was last season.
The international center has a contract with Olympiacos, but there is an opt-out clause, which is set to be activated for him to sign with Aris for the next three years (2+1).
This move will further strengthen the frontline, following the acquisition of Khem Birch, while adding another Greek player to the roster.
At the same time, Aris is waiting on developments regarding Giannoulis Larentzakis. The guard from Olympiacos signed a three-year contract last year with an adjustment in his earnings, with the next season being guaranteed and the last one having an option for Olympiacos to activate.
However, it is clear that Aris is interested in “Lari,” while AEK is also in the mix, but the Thessaloniki team currently has a better chance of closing the deal.
A necessary condition for both suitors is for him to be released by Olympiacos.
